Pregnancy, childbirth and new motherhood are a special period in a woman’s life. For many women, these important months of transition are filled with joy, excitement and anticipation. Bringing a new life into the world is a momentous event. Experiencing the love of a child is rewarding and fulfilling in countless ways.
But for some women, this life passage may not be as smooth. Even while feeling excited and joyful, some women also experience unexpected anxiety, fear, sadness, and grief. The changes in their bodies and the challenges of caring for a newborn can be overwhelming. Issues around infertility, a previous miscarriage, a traumatic birth experience, an unexpected cesarean or the loss of a loved one may surface during this time.
I believe women need support, encouragement and help to navigate the many emotions they may experience before, during and after giving birth. I offer private counseling for women to explore their feelings during this major life transition. I provide gentle support to women who may be grieving the loss of their own mother, or dealing with other significant losses in their lives. I work with many women and couples to help them prepare for VBAC, vaginal birth after cesarean. And finally, I work with women and couples who have lost a baby, providing a safe outlet for grieving and healing.
I also offer private counseling to women, at any stage of life, who are experiencing a life transition, a loss or trauma, or anxiety. It is my dream that every woman have a sacred space to explore her emotions and feel comforted, during the journey to motherhood and throughout her life. I would be honored to help you in a way that is nurturing and meaningful to you.
